Today, I am being highlighted on a great blog, http://www.kojodesigns.blogspot.com/! More specifically, my placemat purse is. This is a great blog run by 2 sisters. They happened upon my little shop after looking here at my blog for Safeway deals. (how fun is that?)

So, if things get crazy today, I'll just be thinking "It's ok - I'm being mentioned on kojodesigns!" I think this excitement is going to last me at least a week. :)

new banner

I finally purchased a banner and avatar for my etsy shop!

Of course, Ruth had to help me make the final decision. I have never been stylish. During high school, she was always checking my outfits to make sure I looked good. Unfortunately, she wasn't that good with her advice when I was in 7th grade. I actually went to school wearing a floral shirt and striped jeans. Yikes! Thankfully, there are no pictures to prove it! Yes, my mother told me not to wear it, but what 13 year old takes fashion advice from their mother?

Anyway...go check out my shop and see how great it looks!

(now I just need to get busy and add items to sell!)

custom order

This week I have been working on a custom order from my Etsy Shop! It has been so much fun. The customer asked me to do 4 magnetic boards (2 large and 2 medium sized) for her yoga studio. I was very nervous about getting it just right, but she loved my ideas and will hopefully love her boards!

Here are some pictures. These were taken early this morning, before I started to embelish them. They now have decorative tape and some paper flowers added to them. I tried taking pictures tonight, but without natural light, they just turned out badly.

Holy hairbows, Batman!

It is about time I started making my own hairbows for the girls - oops! girl. Alexandra is now too old for cute hairbows. These korker hairbows are so fun to make! I could spend all day baking ribbon! Anyway, here are a couple of Halloween ones I have made for Sophia to wear this October. I put them on alligator clips (my personal favorite).

The black ribbon on the bottom says "trick or treat." Very cute!

Nap Mat

Here is an adorable nap mat that I made for a friend of mine. Her son loves dinosaurs! It is so soft and cuddley. Lleyton wanted to lay down in it for his nap. (of course, I didn't let him :) )

I had never made one of these before, so I copied the basics from one I saw online that I liked. I think that I will put this up in my shop as a custom order. What do you think?
